Crack Injection

Polyurethane resin injection, also known as PU injection or grouting, is a waterproofing technique that prevents water from flowing through cracks and voids. This is an effective solution for crack leak sealing in concrete structures, tunnels, dams and mines.

Leaking concrete structures can be permanently repaired by crack injection techniques using polyurethane resin. Polyurethane resin reacts with water to form a watertight foam. Polyurethane resins vary in rigid and semi-rigid, flexible and semi-flexible foam forms. Chemical expansion of the foam is very effective in filling cracks in concrete as the resin reacts with water. Polyurethane resin plays an important role in preserving the concrete and rebar because leaking cracks in concrete walls cause corrosion of the steel and damage the structure.

Injection on Dilatation Joints

Our products used in dilatation joints are as followed:

If there is a lot of water in dilatation joints one-component products; if there is no water present or it is like a leakage two-component products are preferred.

Injections in Cracks

Our products used in cracks are as followed:

One-component products are applied with one component injection machines. Two component products are applied with two component injection machines and they can also be applied with one component injection machines by expanding the pot life. All one component products can be used to stop water in crack injections, and afterwards PURINSEAL EN 401 or PURINSEAL EN 404 is used.
